Old engine model

The G160 motor is the basic motor of the new series of motors with a cylinder capacity of 160 cmm with one, two and three cylinders.

The G160 motor has a new simplified and more perfect structure which ensures its small weight, high efficiency of the use of energy of compressed air and a high reliability. The motor features a robust structure and is reliable in operation. The two-cylinder and three-cylinder motors of the series “160” are very suitable for the drive of larger CO2 RC models, especially for CO2 RC scale models.

The G160 motor features a wide use for the drive of medium-size models with a weight from 60 to 120g.

The attached images show that the motor does not have a usual connecting rod, which is replaced with a ball bearing which is in contact with the piston. The force operating onto the piston is transferred in the working stroke of the motor to the ball bearing and motor crankshaft. The crankshaft of the motor is placed in two ball bearings. The crankshaft is made of hard aluminum featuring a high strength.

The operating speed of the G160 motors can be simply set by turning the cylinder in the crankshaft threading. The adjusted cylinder position is secured by its new friction brake.

The high performances and good efficiency of the G160 motor are confirmed and illustrated by connected performance charts measured in various combinations of tanks and propellers, completed with the data of achievable static thrust of this driving unit.

The required characteristics of the drive with the G160 motor can always be well adjusted by combinations of the tank and propeller sizes.
